Beaches in Onnason Village
Okinawa is located to the most south-west of Japan in the East China Sea, 1560 kilo-meters away from Tokyo. As the climate of Okinawa is sub-tropical, many people from other areas in Japan visit Okinawa to enjoy beautiful sea. Along the west side of Okinawa Main Island, National Route 58 runs from Naha, the largest city in Okinawa, to Nago, the second largest city in Okinawa. Beautiful beaches and resort hotels are located along National Route 58. When you visit Zakimi Castle in Yomitanson Village, you will see traditional warehouses at the entrance of Zakimi Castle. These warehouses have a raised-floor style. Zampa Cape is located at the tip of the peninsula. Zampa Cape Nagahama Beach is located at the north end of Yomitanson Village. If you drive further to north, you will see many beaches in Onnason Village from National Route 58. The first beach in the Onnason Village is Okidomari Beach. A beach parasol on the beach was very impressive. In Okinawa, summer starts after the rain season is ended in late June, usually. Hot and humid weather continues. |

Such beautiful beaches continue along National Route 58. Resort hotels are also located near these beaches. Some of these beaches are private beach of resort hotels. The below picture shows a beach, before you will arrive at "Manzamo". "Manzamo" is a plane field on a cliff. Beautiful scenery from "Manzamo" is well-known and many people visit there. The East-China Sea is very clean and clear. You will see the Honbu Peninsula and Ie Island from the beach. |
