Most cities and towns in Japan have become very modern, especially Tokyo, Yokohama, Nagoya, Kyoto, and Osaka. However, there are many places and sites which keep the traditional and original atmosphere from a few hundred years ago. Such places are located in rural areas of Japan. Even many Japanese people do not know about these places, or where they are located.
